Do you have you a question about the BeQuiet! Shadow Rock LP CPU Cooler with Pure Wings 2 Fan?

Q: Can you please give me a bit more info on how to fit this to the motherboard, I would like a low profile cpu cooler where I would not have to remove the motherboard thank you
Answer by Website User on 6th March 2018
So long as the case your motherboard is installed to has a cutout so you can fit a backplate, you'll be able to install this without removing your motherboard.

Q: Hi, I'm interested in this cooler for the MSI B350M Gaming Pro AM4 motherboard. Your site information does not include this cooler in the list of AM4 compatible coolers, but the BeQuiet website says it is compatible with AM4 motherboards. Is your stock pre AM4 or is the website incorrect ?
Answer by Website User on 11th December 2017
Our most recent batch of these now carries AM4 brackets! Our website listing should be updated soon to reflect this :) -Jakef

I would recommend this cooler. I have used this on a socket 1366 Intel motherboard and it does help to cool the Northbridge chipset and the VRM's. CPU core temps are excellent, low 30's in general use and mid 40's when gaming. I have the fan set to permanent full speed as it is a very quiet fan. Fitting the heatsink is fairly straight forward if you follow the instructions. You do need access to the back of the motherboard to install the rear plate. I also use one of these on a Ryzen 3600 again with good results. Memory/VRM clearance is good even though the heatsink is very large. I would say that it is about the cheapest, high performance blow down CPU cooler available. It is somewhat expensive but it's cooling ability justifies the cost. You can get the same CPU cooling from a cheaper tower cooler but not the chipset/VRM cooling as well. If you want the chipset/VRM cooling then this delivers. Recommended.

Cooler didn't fit my asrock itx motherboard (plastic push pins for standard mounting brackets & no backplate), the 24pin power cable got in way and mounting points didn't hold , far too much movement between cpu top and cooler surface and not safe to run PC because of risk of overheating or shorting out . On a standard matx/atx motherboard (metal backplate + metal screws) spacing ok with no ram & power cables problems and a good firm fit onto AMD cpu with no excess movement. Overall very good cooler for AMD system if system has metal backplate/metal screws and not plastic push pins, cools power components around CPU and very quiet fan
