Q: Hi, I have just purchased this cooler. Does it come with a mounting bracket? Currently on the official Noctua website it says: NH-U12S (AM4 mounting included since 2019, only older coolers require upgrade kit) So do you ship the mounting kit as well for AM4 boards?

Q: Noctua now say that these are now compatible with AM4 boards - only the 2018 and before need the special kit. Can you confirm this and, if true, that you do not have 'old stock' which will require the add-on kits?

I can confirm out stock will not have the AM4 bracket so it will need to be requested from the manufacture after you receive your product.

The cooler does support a second fan, however it does not come with the extra mounting brackets.

Cool and quiet

I've had people tell me that this is the best aircooler around and they're not wrong. There are parts in the box for many different sockets and it's really incredibly easy to install. The instructions are super clear to understand even for someone like me who has only ever built one PC before. Everything just clicked and screwed together the way that it should. I was a little bit worried about how much thermal paste to use, but the amounts suggested by the instructions worked perfectly for my CPU. The fan comes with a low noise adaptor that will limit the rpm and make it even quieter - but honestly at the moment it's not needed. It's so quiet under normal operations that I don't notice it at all. The thermals on my new PC are brilliant and even under heavy load it doesn't get very hot at all. A friend is going to build a PC soon and I've told him to get a NH-U12 for his rig - honestly can't praise it enough.

Obviously a major upgrade from the stock cooler. The fans are very quiet at idle as expected for this brand. The second fan to use this as a push-pull configuration is a good upgrade, a package including this would be nice.

Solid, well made, amd and intel adaptor kits, thermal paste and clear instructions included. Honestly I can't find any faults. My gaming cpu is chilling at 40 50 degrees Celsius so Noctua well done. Top quality!
