System Inspector & Tester

Full time (Monday – Friday, 09:30 – 18:00)

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a System Inspector/Tester to join our expanding system build team. If you have a passion for PCs and are a stickler for detail, then we'd love to hear from you!

CCL Computers is a leading seller of PC systems, and with ever-increasing business we need to expand our team to keep up with demand.

As a system tester, you will complement our busy system build team by performing rigorous quality checks on all our PCs. This will involve setting up and monitoring a range of automated performance and stability tests, assuring that all PCs are ready for use by our customers.

You will also perform a physical inspection of each PC to ensure all builds meet our high standards.

Prior knowledge of PCs and their components would prove to be an advantage and training will be provided on our quality checking and testing procedures.

This is a full-time position, based in Bradford, between 9:30 and 18:00 Monday - Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and monitor a range of automated performance and stability tests
  • Perform physical internal and external inspections on built PCs

Experienced IT Repair Engineer with MendIT

Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

Job Summary

Working as part of the In-house Engineer team with our sister company MendIT, you will be involved in the inspection, diagnosis and repair of a variety of devices that come through the business. You will work closely with the admin team to ensure repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to a high quality.

What we're looking for

  • Broad technical knowledge is essential to the role when supporting such a wide variety of devices.
  • Excellent attention to detail when inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing devices to ensure any faults etc are picked up on, noted and dealt with for the customer.
  • Good communications skills when liaising with admin staff and end users.
  • Previous experience of a hardware repair or diagnostics role.
  • Up to date DBS check; this would be carried out when joining the role if not already acquired.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of devices including group systems and partner units.
  • Searching for replacement parts for repairs and quotes. Ensuring that the most cost-effective solutions are offered while resolving all faults/issues with the unit.
  • Liaising with the admin team closely to ensure the customer is kept up to date throughout the process.
  • Assisting other engineers and staff to provide technical support/knowledge.

System & Laptop Packer

Monday - Friday, 09:30 - 18:00. Saturdays will be required during busy periods.

Job Summary

This is a full-time permanent placement and due to the nature of the role requires a good level of fitness thanks to the picking, packing and shipping of heavy Systems.

Full training will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure motherboard bundles are packed safely and securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Utilise our bespoke shipping system to correctly label and ensure customer orders are ready for despatch.
  • Transport finished and packed laptops to the appropriate area to be shipped.

System Builder

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 38.75 hours per week

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a System Builder to join our expanding Builds team. If you have a passion for building systems and computer hardware then we'd love to hear from you!

CCL Computers is a leading seller of PC Systems, and with ever-increasing business we need to expand our team to keep up with demand.

Have you built your own computer previously, or maybe for your friends? We need you to start on the front foot, so the more experience you have with PC hardware, the better. Training will also be provided on our methods for certain aspects, such as cable management and best practices.

Initial contracts would be offered on a 6-month basis. This would lead to a permanent placement for the right candidate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build PCs for our customers
  • Liaise with internal teams on technical issues and test results.
  • Assemble products to customer standards.
