AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) are set to show off their new Radeon HD 8000M products, which will fall into the "Solar System" range of cards at next years CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Which are said to hold many new features and technologies, although we have no idea what they will be, only that the hardware will be designed for the mobile / laptop market.
We know very little about the new cards so far, we don't even know if they will be running on the GCN architecture or something else altogether. We do know however that the innitial range will feature two chips, Mars and Venus which will launch at CES along side several other unnunounced pieces of hardware.
• Model: HD 8000M-series
• Code Name: Solar System
• DirectX 11.1
• OpenGL 4.3
• OpenCL 1.2
AMD Radeon HD 8000 “Sea Islands” range of discreet graphics cards is still set for a 2013 launch, interesting though that AMD seem to be tackling the mobile sector first with their next gen cards.
