It was only earlier today I was reporting on Google landing in hot water over privacy concerns with their latest Google Maps App that has stood in and filled the void of the useless Apple iOS 6 Maps application.

But there has obviously been a lot of discontent with the map service that Apple have provided users of the latest iPhone, even word going as far as Scot Forstall of Apple being fired over the apps failures, Australian Police deeming the app "dangerous" and it being the source of many map related jokes for quite some time now.

The solution was of course Google maps, a tried and tested maping services and definately one of the better free services out there, which is why the map software was downloaded more than 10 million time in the first 48 hours of it being made available in the iOS app store. If that doesn't get the message accross to Apple, what will?
