With the start of a new week comes a new set of sales figures. It comes as no surprise this week to see that Halo 4 has grabbed hold of the exclusive number one spot in the charts. Although it has seen some tough competition from both Assassin's Creed III which has already proved a massive success for Ubisoft, as well as the highly successful Fifa 13 which has been hovering near the top of the charts since it's release. This week see's the launch of Black Ops II and I don't expect even Halo will hold onto the top spot due to Call of Duty's multi-platform dominance.

Other strong contenders this week are the usual big hitters, we have Need for Speed Most Wanted going strong, even if I my self much prefer the thrills of Forza Horizon which is down from 7th to 11th place this week. But more love for racing fans with F1 2012 in at 17th and firm gamer favourite Forza 4 has found it's way back into the charts after two weeks off the score board.

But other than a bit of jostling for positions there is little new this week as we see that most of this years big games have already launched and very few are going to try compete with Call of Duty in the last part of this month, like the game or not, it sells by the millions on day one.

The only other new contender this week is New Super Mario Bros 2 down at 18th place, not a strong start but it could obviously be doing a lot worse.

So with Black Ops II around the corner, lets get some internet flaming going in the comments. Which is better, Halo 4 or Call of Duty?
