As some of you might have guessed by now I’m quite a big fan of indie games as I have wrote such reviews for FTL and news about Kickstarter games in the works. Well it is time to get even more excited as Introversion is releasing a fantastic little game which, I think, is a first and it is called Prison Architect.
Introversion is a small UK (in Somerset) based games developer which title includes the likes of Uplink, Darwinia, DEFCON, Multiwinia, and Subversion. Now the small 7 man team of developers are now looking at creating something very different with Prison Architect.
Prison Architect as you might have guessed does not just involve running a prison but also managing things such as riots and all other day to day tasks that might be involved (I don’t have a idea whats involved… I never watched OZ). The alpha is now available on their website but, and I think this is a great idea, you have to pay for the privilege of testing the game.
Even in alpha the game looks pretty playable and given that the developers will still want and need feedback about how the game plays and feels, you might have a chance on influencing the game in some way.
