Apple has finally started the roll out for their latest firmware/OS with the release of iOS 6 beginning today, and the new software is compatible with all apple mobile devices going right back to the still popular iPhone 3GS, even though the device was infact discontinued just last week, so it's good that they are not leaving people out of the party, especially given Apples nature to forever push forward with the latest technology.
With the new software users can expect to see updates and improvements to Siri, the all new Maps app, the ability to rearrange your home screen icons, better Facebook integration and support, although I'll let you decide if thats a good thing or not. Mail sees improvements too, with the new VIP inbox and easier methods when it comes to refreshing your inbox. iCloud now has tabs across all your devices, with the exception of Safari 6 for Windows users.
I'm not one for the apple crowd my self, but I have to feel left out with my Android device which now hasn't seen a firmware update in a year, so well done to Apple for covering so many devices with this latest firmware, although only time will tell if this is actually going to offer much improvements in the way of performance on some of the older devices.
