We all know that the Wii U is just around the corner, it's only a matter of time before Nintendo break the silence and give us a solid retail release date for their new hardware, but with rumours of production difficulties with the Wii U tablet controller still floating around Nintendo have been tight lipped about a date, likely for fears of missing the deadline for the manufacturing process.
It's safe to assume the hardware will launch before Christmas, we want this and most importantly Nintendo wants this, missing that precious Christmas sales spree could be the first nail in the coffin for the hardware before its even gone to market, but it's shipping date seems to have been leaked on the VPD website, who themselves are the main distribution company for large retailers such as Amazon, Blockbuster and Overstock.
According to a listing on the site the hardware will ship in North America on November 11th, check out the details and prices below:
• WIIU SYSTEM - GM - 11/11/12 $249.99
• WIIU SYSTEM W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $299.99
• WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $349.99
Of course it isn't clear what the difference is on the SKUs listed here, but it stands to good reason that they will be vanilla console only and a couple of premium bundles that come pre-packed with a collection of games upon its release.
