With the start of a new week comes a new set of sales figures, this week we can see that Guild Wars 2 has exploded to the number one spot knocking the superb Sleeping Dogs from last week’s top spot. Interestingly enough the rather poor London 2012 Olympics game is still holding in 4th place, proving yet again that product placement really does work.
The usual sales juggernauts are continuing their journey up and down the top 20 this week also, with Call of Duty, Battlefield and FIFA still showing no sign of falling out of favour, not likely to do so for some time yet either as their popularity goes from strength to strength.
It's great to see some creative titles in the line-up though, with games like Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs, guild Wars 2 and Tales of Graces F showing that the public does still have a love for things beside the now well-trodden FPS, but all that will change in the run up to Christmas as we make room for Borderlands 2, Halo 4, Resident Evil 6 and the many more titles that will no doubt battle it out for our Christmas #1 spot.
