Sony has already gone first in the next-gen race and consumers, investors, developers and many more groups have been waiting patiently and impatiently for Microsoft to open their mouth and tell the world what they've been working on.
It's immensely tense as while there have been a number of leaks that seem credible, it's also clear that Microsoft have done a damn fine job of silencing the whispers. They've also done an amazing job of staying quiet in the face of some very damaging rumours and it will be interesting to see how Microsoft plans to respond to many of them, especially the "always online" rumour, which it is just that by the way – Although I fully expect that's nothing more than rumour anyway.
With E3 just around the corner Microsoft will have to show the public something to get the hype going and with the PlayStation 4 gaining a huge amount of PR and hype recently I can't help but feel Microsoft have left it a little late.
"Xbox: A New Generation Revealed" says the official website and who would have thought that it's been a staggering 8 years since the Xbox 360 launched! Wow.... how time flys.
Be sure to tune in a 6pm BST for the big show and in just a few short hours we will all know a lot more about the new Xbox.
