AMD are looking to make a big splash in 2013. Not only do they have a strong graphics card roadmap for this year, but they've also taken steps to ensure the continuation of their software bundles; something that has proven popular with AMD customers for some time now.
In a recent conference call, corporate Vice President of Global Channel Sales at AMD, Roy Taylor spoke of the success of the recent Never Settle and Never Settle Reloaded promotions. He went on to say that AMD has some new promotions lined up, but failed to mention any specifics on what they will contain - likely due to a pending official press announcement.
One thing we do know however is that Crytek have been working closely with AMD. Given that Crytek use Radeon cards for some of their development work, all of which was something Roy was keen to point out during the call, could this mean that we could see a few Crytek games bundled with AMD cards soon? I certainly hope so.
I love the idea of these bundles and it proves a great way to improve value for money to those considering an AMD card for their system. Are free games enough to tempt you into the purchase of an AMD card, or do you only care about the performance of the GPU itself?
