Crysis 3 is one of this years hotly anticipated games and it caused quite a stir when Electronic Arts and Crytek launched the titles Alpha trial a while ago. Now that they've had time to tweak, improve and push the game further it will certainly be exciting to see how fans around the world react to the improvements.
The expected date for the new multiplayer beta for Crisis 3 is now January 29th and it is planned to stay live through till February 12th, giving gamers two weeks of multiplayer carnage to really put the game through its paces. The best thing about this of course is that while PC gamers will get to lavish in the latest Beta, so too with Xbox 360 and PlayStation fans around the world, so no need to feel left out of the crowd.
On offer will be two team-based modes, with two maps for each mode, Airport and Museum. The first being Hunter Mode and the other being Crash Site, which is a two vs. ten battle, at least on PS3 and 360. Crash Site on the PC is a little more intense with a two vs. fourteen format, yikes!
With Crysis 3 just around the corner the Beta will give PC gamers a perfect chance to test the mettle of their rigs pre-purchace. With AMD and NVIDIA battling it out more than ever this is a perfect time (see: excuse) to upgrade your GPU/CPU.
Crysis 3 launches on February 19th (North America) and February 21st (Europe) for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
