Lenovo have unveiled their Thinkpad Helix this weekend at CES, an Gorilla Glass 11.6 inch full HD Windows 8 tablet available with Intel’s Core Processors such as the i3, i5 and i7 available in configurations with up to 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
Despite the impressive hardware listing Lenovo are stating a 10 hour battery life on this tablet, due to the keyboard dock which has additional battery power and gives the tablet a boost when connected.
Featuring what Lenovo are calling a “Rip and Flip” design users can dock the tablet with the screen facing inwards like a traditional laptop or facing outwards allowing you to still use the unit as a tablet while maintaining the additional battery life and giving you the added expansion of the keyboard dock.
"The ThinkPad Helix gives business professionals two devices in one incredible form factor. It is a high performance, thin and light Ultrabook with a detachable Windows 8 tablet. We've also pumped more power and productivity into the new IdeaPad Yoga 11S mini- Ultrabook so it can handle whatever mobile computing tasks consumers throw at it." said Peter Hortensius (Senior VP – Lenovo).
