I decided to abandon my employer-supplied 23 inch 1080p monitor and upgrade to this 32 inch 1440p. I wanted the extra resolution but without the content physically shrinking, due to ageing eyesight, and it balances out just about right. I mostly work with text editors and command lines so I do not need to worry about fast response times or realistic colours or whatever.
This monitor is an old model (about the same vintage as my 1080p) but is more than enough for my needs. It was an expensive item back in the day so it looks and feels well built and includes all the cables that might be needed plus a wall mounting plate. I turned it on, turned down the eye-searing brightness and just got on with using it. The extra space over a 1080p is substantial!
At the current price the monitor is amazing value for money, so 12 hours after delivery of the first one, I ordered another. One is now in portrait mode and the other in landscape. My working environment is transformed! I have windows all over the place!
