Yes, this drive will work fine with that motherboard. While the board doesn't have SATA III ports this isn't an issue as a mechanical drive doesn't exceed the speed of SATA II anyway so it would be fine. -Danlevan

This is backwards compatible with SATA II and I and will just run at the maximum speed the board can handle, e.g SATA II in this case. -* RH

order was received and found be faulty, my problem is you sent refund for the hdd and not the postage as well, when you should have replaced the hdd as your returns policy states, i am 8.99 missing of my money and no hard drive.

Does the job admirably, using the drive to store Photos and CD's. I have found that some CD's that I have used to archive photos on are failing after ten years so I am concerned in how I can store photos and the like. I have found that Western Digital drives will last ten years in daily use but what if I put the drive in a safe for instance will the data last twenty years. I want to have photos that will be available to later generations.
