My older fan was quite noisy. I am very pleased that I installed this BeQuiet fan on an existing motherboard's as a CPU fan. It makes quite a difference when you're working in your home study. I can hardly hear my computer now.

Easy to install and extremely Quiet. Awesome

well made PSU & it lives upto it's name, quiet. found the cables a bit stiff to bend into sockets but overall, glad i chose this one

Got it because it was a good brand and was pretty cheap for what it was. It works great and is much quieter than any of the other fans on my pc.

Its able to provide the power it advertises it says and since its certified I dont have to worry about ot exploding.

works brilliantly, no issues. brand new out the box and makes no loud noise

Excellent power supply! It is much quieter than my old one and I hardly know the pc is switched on. It was easy to fit into my old case and connect to new motherboard.

Great very good

Its is very quiet too. Seems to have intelligent fan that revs up when needed. Im guessing controlled by current draw rather than temperature because it responds instantly when using heavier tasks. Ideal.

Feels well built and quiet

Excellent so far. Didn't want to go mad on a high-end PSU even though the forums all say you should. This runs my Ryzen 3100, GTX 1650 SSD and 3 HDDs no problem and really is silent. Only been using for a month, but my last PSU of about this quality managed 7 years of almost constant use and still worked when I upgraded.

Can't hear it under load and great value for the money.

Does what it says on the tin! Nice and quiet, provides power to everything efficiently and for really cheap.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

June 2020

Great PSU from a reputable brand for a good price.

June 2020

As silent as I'd hoped (probably the quietest thing in the computer), it sits there and does it's job... No idea about long term but for the time I've had it it's been fine.

June 2020

It produces more heat than I expected, but it is quiet.

June 2020

Good psu would recommend

June 2020

Hasn't broken yet. Wires are good quality.

well made product!!

March 2020

This is a really quiet PSU. On switch on it briefly runs the fan , as a test, and that's the last you will hear of it!

This 500W power supply is a very high quality product for a very reasonable price. Very easily fitted using the supplied screws and it powered up without any problems. I have used similar products from Be Quiet before (fans and power supplies) and as their name implies they are renowned for their very efficient and silent operation. This product is no exception and the overall build quality is extremely high. All the internal leads are insulated with braiding and bunched logically into 6 branches, so connecting it internally is fairly easy, despite the fact it is not a modular design.

There are cheaper 500 watt PSUs but then there are some important compromises. Firstly this one has 2x 6+2 PCIe power connectors so will connect to the most power hungry GPUs. This is a consideration for me. Secondly this PSU easily powers a high power GPU like an old R9 290 or HD5970 without straining. Not all 500 watt PSUs actually meet their rating. This is probably why the cheaper ones don't have the full set of PCIe GPU connectors. It's to try and stop you using them. If you have to spend 5 on a splitter then you may as well have spent the money on a better PSU. You can probably find a cheaper 500 watt PSU that will do what you need but for what I needed the next one up would have been a 650 watt for a lot more money. That makes this one very very good value. You can also tell it's good quality compared to the ones 10 cheaper.

There are more expensive PSUs than this and there are cheaper ones. Frankly the cheaper ones you'd have to get the 750w version. The more expensive ones have modular cables, which is nice. In most cases you can tuck the unused cables out of the way and save your money for more faster storage. 500 watts will pretty much run any normal computer unless you want two graphics cards or a super high end CPU. I was pleased with the quality of the BeQuiet and it did seem familiar. I reckon it's the same as another decent PSU I have used recently. This is a good choice, just remember it only supports one graphics card.
