Do you have you a question about the Noctua NH-U14S Ultra-Quiet Slim CPU Cooler with NF-A15 fan?

Q: Would this fit in a Fractal Define R3 case - case spec says it will take upto 165mm coolers and this cooler is 165mm but not sure whether there is any leeway in the case dims ?
Post Answer
Q: Would this CPU cooler fit on a Crohair v formula z motherboard and still fit into a cooler master N300 case without touching my G.Skill Ripjaw x series ram?
Answer by Dan on 23rd March 2017
Cooler Master list that case as supporting coolers up to 164mm in height while Noctua's specs have this cooler at 165mm so it's going to be very tight and depending on the amount of flex the side panel has may not fit - unfortunately it would be impossible to say for sure without trying it but I'd personally err on the side of caution and say that it's too tall. As it's quite slim in profile, it should be fine with the RAM however. -Danlevan

First off CCL packed the fan extremely well and delivered it in good time. The fan is big,I mean BIG. I have had to modify my computer housing to get it to fit, nothing major just a few holes here and there. Once installed the fan is very quiet, It really is that good you ask yourself is it working. Build quality looks excellent, a superb kit within the box allows you to tailor your fit, it even comes with some paste to improve heat transfer. After a month or so use the fan is working very well. Whisper quiet and keeps the temperature down to 34-38 degrees C. Excellent after sales service and support is included FOC, including some free upgrades should you change your pc. I would absolutely recommend it, it performs very well and is relatively easy to install, it is big so check your pc dimensions carefully.

I bought this because I didn't want a fan that overhangs the ram and this one doesn't. It's pretty quiet and obviously, the fan is not designed for clear case look-how-pretty-the-inside-of-my-PC-is but does what it needs to do. I'm not planning on ultra overlocking my i7 6-core CPU so I don't have excess heat issues even when I'm playing early access un-optimised games like Scum.
