Q: 1) is this item the IB-867 or is it the IB-868. The description mentions IB-867. 2) Will the card reader support xD card? Would appreciate if some 101% accurate holy grail was consulted before posting reply.
Answer by CCL on 27th February 2013
The stock in our warehouse is IB-868-B. This lists compatibility with something called an EXD card which I can't find anything on Google about but is likely xD as this is short for Extreme Digital but I cannot find anything to confirm this. -Danlevan

Q: Hi I have a PC built by CCL Motherboard ASUS PSQL/EPU Can this card reader be fitted and work with Window 7 an 8. I could not see the 20 pin USB required. Thanks Bill Phillips
Answer by CCL on 25th January 2013
Unfortunately, that board does not have the 20pin connection required for USB3.0 to work. However this cable (CAB2485) will enable you to connect this reader to your USB2.0 header allowing you to use this unit with Windows 7 or 8. Regards, Mike.

You could get a USB 3.0 PCI-e card with a 20 pin connector and plug it into that. I purchased one with 2 internal (20 pin plug)/2 external USB 3.0 ports recently on eBay and it uses the NEC/Renasas chipset which is the preferred chipset for many people.
