Gigabyte Force K83 is a keyboard that’s minimalistic to the eye, but dynamic in its ability. Where the Cherry MX Blue Switch offers a louder acknowledgement to touch, the Red Switch gives the user an evident yet silent response with an impressively small key actuation distance of just 2mm.
In the heated moment of battle, things can get a little busy on the user interface; that’s why Gigabyte equipped us with anti-ghosting multi-press capability (N-Key Rollover) which allows several keys to be registered at any one time. In fact, Gigabyte states that up to 64 can be recorded via USB connection.
The F keys, named the ‘Hot-Link Function Keys’, provide immediate access to the most common tools while the ‘Win Lock’ key has it’s own LED that allows you to eliminate the chance of accidentally opening the Windows start menu within a game.
Multiple features show Gigabyte’s dedication to durability; the keys are laser-marked to prevent long-term fading while non-slip rubber feet stands ensure sturdy use. Not only this, but consumers can eat and drink at their station with peace of mind that the keyboard’s modern island-style layout has got you covered against unwanted spills or crumbs.
Pretty nifty, we think!
