When choosing a Gaming PC there are a few things you need to consider. The most important one is the resolution you want to be playing on. The higher the resolution, the more powerful gaming PC you will need to have the best experience possible.
High Frames Per Second (FPS) provides a smooth and more responsive gaming experience. PC games aim to achieve 60 FPS or higher for the best experience possible. The higher the resolution you choose to play on, the more demanding it becomes to maintain a high FPS. High Frames Per Second can provide a great benefit in competitive games as it reduces input lag to gain an edge over the opponent.

Monitor refresh rate (Hz) also plays a vital part in a game’s performance and overall experience. For example, a standard 60Hz monitor refreshes 60 times per second, a 144Hz monitor refreshes 144 times per second. If the FPS is higher than the monitor’s refresh rate it can cause ‘tearing’ of the screen. Vertical Sync fixes this problem by locking the FPS to match the monitor’s refresh rate. However, this method can cause drawbacks by introducing input lag and stuttering.
NVIDIA G-Sync™ and AMD Radeon™ FreeSync™ monitors eliminate the drawbacks of Vertical Sync for a smooth, tear and stutter free experience.
