It was a mixed bag this December, with low retail sales reported by all in the IT arena. The working theory is that everyone splurged last year, as the pandemic lockdowns forced us all indoors to our spare bedrooms and dining room tables, battling for screen time with the family cat and manic children who were home from school.

AMD's rally toward the end of the year was a response to the incredible Alder Lake release from Intel, and fans of the manufacturer have made the most of price drops in the builds for 2022.
