Q: Our DVD player has Red, White (audio) and Yellow (video) cables. It's on teachers desk with "on the wall" box for Audio but no Yellow Video socket. Instead of running a 5m yellow video cable from desk, through trunking and up to projector, Can I use this adapter to plug in the yellow video cable into the adapter and then plug the HD15 VGA into the VGA hole in the wall - which is usually used for the teachers laptop?
Answer by Website User on 6th October 2014
This cable is for connecting a BNC video cable to VGA. While the phono connectors are physically the same, the cable is not and would not be compatible. -Danlevan
