It didn't have one originally, but that means I can rarely get into the bios using the keyboard so still need to have a ps/2 keyboard handy!

This may not work then, as the keyboard may be unable to communicate with the PS/2 port due to it functioning differently that a USB port. If it does not ship with a PS/2 adaptor then it may lack the internal circuitry for the connection. -Danlevan
