Christmas Stocking Fillers for Gamers 2022
Gamers are at the same time very easy, and horribly difficult to buy gifts for. At the most basic level it's obvious what you want to buy for them - you want gifts for gamers, but now that you know that, do you know everything else you need to know about the products to actually make a wise purchase that your recipient will love?
Below I'll make some suggestions for gamer stocking fillers, on items we have available at time of writing for under £30, and hopefully these will help.
Gaming Mice for Under £30
If your gamer gift is for someone who plays a lot of first-person shooter (FPS) games, such as Valorant or Counter-Strike, then a lightweight mouse such as the Cooler Master MM710 is a solid 6-button option with a respectable sensor.
Gaming Keyboards for Under £30
OK I've broken the rules here, as at time of writing this one is just slightly above our £30 budget - but I'd make the case that it's worth it, offering low-profile mechanical switches, RGB backlighting and in the increasingly popular 60% compact keyboard format. The brushed aluminium top-plate is a nice touch, too.
A budget option that offers those getting started with gaming a 7 colour LED backlight. It's basic, but sometimes that's exactly what we're looking for.
Gaming Mousepad for Under £30
At 93cm wide and 30cm deep, the Corsair MM300 PRO Extended is a pretty spacious mousepad. It has a spill-proof, stain-resistant coating and uses a micro-weave textile for smoother mouse-glide.
Available at time of writing for under a tenner and carrying the ASUS TUF branding, it's hard to go wrong here - ASUS TUF products usually offer good value and this 26 x 36cm standard sized mousepad should be a safe bet at this price.
Gaming Headset for Under £30
The Cooler Master CH321 is a bargain USB headset designed to stay comfy during long gaming sessions. A built-in sound card and 50mm drivers offer good quality audio for the price and CH321 adds a touch of RGB with a colour-cycling logo on the earcups.
If you're looking for a great value entry-level USB gaming headset, the GameMax Razor offers essential gaming functionality paired with 5.1 surround sound, RGB illuminated earcups and a flexible mic.
Gaming Accessory Bundle for Under £30
If you're looking for affordable gaming kit with a splash of RGB, perhaps for the first-time gamer in the family, you can get the entire set of peripherals from CiT, comprising an RGB backlit keyboard with 7 colour options, an RGB mouse with 7 colour options, a gaming headset with mic and mousepad. This is a great starter kit that won't break the bank.
PC Storage for under £30
If you happened to read my Christmas Gift Guide 2022, you'll know I'm entirely willing to advocate gifting USB sticks under the right circumstance. They may not be the sexiest gift but as a stocking filler that'll put up to 256GB of portable storage in your pocket, what's not to like?

If you have a loved one building their dream PC, or wanting to improve the appearance of one they've already built, these cable extensions really add something extra. They're high-quality and come in a range of colours, making them perfect for enthusiasts that want a unique custom build. I'll repeat again that they're cable extensions, rather than replacements, as this means they're compatible with all power supply units (PSUs), making them a safe gift.
Gaming and Streaming Microphone for under £30
For those who'd rather have separate microphone and headphones than an all-in-one headset (like myself), the Marvo Scorpion MIC-03 does an admirable job of providing a low-cost option complete with a shock-absorbing tripod mount and a pop-filter. If you're looking for a gift for someone getting started with streaming, this is a great option.
