Overview

USB3.1 (also called Gen.2) brings many improvements to the previous standard USB3.0 (Gen.1). The most noticeable is the new Type-C connector which is much smaller than the previous standard connectors, it is also reversible.

Type A to Type C

This cable features both a Type-A connector and a Type-C connector making it the perfect solution for connecting modern mobile devices with a Type-C connector to a PC that doesn’t have a Type-C connector yet.

USB Power Delivery v2.0

The USB3C-901 supports up to 20V / 3A (60W) of power. The new improved power delivery allows you to charge not only small mobiles devices such as mobile phones and tablets, but also laptops.

Reversible Connector

The new USB Type-C connector is smaller than most of the previous USB connectors. (Micro B is the exception.) It is also symmetrical; this allows you to plug the connector in either way up.

Q: I am looking for a usb 3.1 type c fast charge cable for my samsung note9. My question is, is your product 24awg or 24 gauge? Secondly what lengths do you sell besides 1m? Regards,

The gauge of the wire isn't listed on Cables Direct's specifications. 1m, 2m, 3m lengths are all available. This cable is rated at up to 60W which should be more than enough for a Note 9 which I believe maxes out at 15W. The charger itself is a more important factor on the power delivery than the cable so check your charger's ratings.

It can do but it will be extremely slow as these are designed for PC USB ports that have a low voltage/current compared to phone chargers. -MR
