Good quality product for the money.

Build quality is great and the adjustment is excellent. Graphics and colours are awesome. I am 72 and only watch 4K UHD movies plus normal computing. After my earlier monitor rhis is simply awsesome.

A couple of reviews complained about the external power pack but its so small and when hidden away you dont even remember its there. Screen base nice and sturdy with numerous positions available due to up/down & swivel movement. The picture quality is so far superior to a TN screen & I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one. However you do need external speakers as the sound isnt that good from the screen which I do so wasnt really a problem. All in all an excellent purchase as bought when there was 100 off offer, very pleased with both purchases.

A solid all round 4K monitor and good value. # Screen - Excellent image quality, tiny bezel is good but rather redundant as the image doesn't go all the way to the edge of the screen # Stand - Sturdy and easy to assemble; holds the screen steady, allows plenty of height adjustment and can rotate into portrait mode. # Access and adjustment - Control/buttons are on the rear and subsequently difficult to access. They feel flimsy but won't get used often so do the job well enough # Features - Usual pair of built in speakers, low quality sound output and limited volume but no worse than any other speakers built into a monitor. Why manufacturers of display equipment continue to persist in including these pointless devices I don't know! # Connectivity - No USB ports but has 3.5mm headphone jack. Visual input by Display Port or a pair of HDMI ports covers everything required

I ended up having to buy a "work from home monitor" quickly for office and some CAD use. The ASUS VG289Q potentially ticked all my boxes: 1) 4K and flicker free 2) 27-28" screen - 28" has 10% more area 3) IPS panel for the best viewing angles (can't be doing with things changing as you move your head) 4) Reasonably priced 6) Good quality picture in terms of sharpness, colour rendition and saturation 7) 60Hz Vsync is sufficient 9) Fully adjustable stand Initially I was put off by the lack of technical reviews, although there were many good subjective ones. In the end the 28" size and 90% DCI-P3 colour space made me decide to "take a chance" here. I am picky when it comes to displays; having used the monitor for a few days now, I am very pleased with it, and can't find any issues at all: 1) The 4K Display quality is very good. It is sharp, detailed; colour rendition and saturation are both subjectively very good. There is no backlight flicker. Contrast is good in normal work lighting with deep blacks. The display backlight looks subjectively very even. Viewing angles are very good, as expected for an IPS panel. Importantly, there are no dead pixels. 2) A big bonus is the well-engineered stand and solid base; this is fully adjustable for optimising the viewing position for long periods of use, and provides solid support for the monitor. 3) Although the display settings options are somewhat limited, it was easy/quick enough to optimise the settings, so this isn't an issue in practice. 4) Additional features - I am sat by a window and the anti-reflective surface works well. The built-in audio is a useful feature, with good audio quality for this type of built-in speaker. The external power adapter is very compact and runs quite cool. There is a good length of dc cable to the monitor enabling the adapter to be placed on the floor. This power arrangement avoids a chunky IEC cable going to the monitor and reduces heat dissipation inside the display. Despite being aimed at the gaming market, this does seem to be a really nice monitor for office use. I find the display very comfortable to work with, and easy on the eyes.
