RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business PC Requirements & Upgrade Advice

July 23, 2025 by Jacob Brown

RoboCop stands armed in a dystopian city as helicopters and laser-equipped enemies surround a towering fortress in the background, with fire and destruction in the streets below.

Introduction

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is a standalone expansion to the 2023 hit RoboCop: Rogue City. Developed by Teyon and published by Nacon, it lets you jump straight into the action without needing the base game.

Set inside the towering OmniTower in Old Detroit, the expansion sees RoboCop facing off against a hostile takeover by high-tech mercenaries and deadly automated forces. Your mission? Bring order to chaos—one explosive encounter at a time.

Whether you're a returning fan or brand new to the series, Unfinished Business delivers a sharp, self-contained adventure filled with high-impact combat, grim satire, and that unmistakable RoboCop edge.

New Features & Mechanics

This expansion adds fresh firepower and tougher foes to push your cybernetic skills even further:

  • Enhanced Enemy Variety
Take on aggressive new threats, from drones and automated turrets to jetpack soldiers, minigun squads, and even katana-wielding cyborg assassins. Each type brings new tactics—and fresh danger.
  • Powerful New Weapons
Gear up with the Cryo Cannon, which freezes enemies in place, or go loud with the devastating minigun. Explosive nitrogen barrels scattered through the levels also add strategic combat options.
  • Play as Murphy and ED 209
Relive pivotal moments in Alex Murphy’s human past and stomp through firefights as the iconic ED-209, unleashing raw destruction in select missions.
  • Return of Signature Abilities
Core mechanics from the original game are back, including time-slowed aiming, riot shield deployment, cybernetic strength, and a flexible upgrade system to enhance your playstyle.

Story & Setting

First-person view through RoboCop’s targeting system aiming at a hostile figure in a graffiti-covered urban lobby with neon highlights and vendors nearby.

The story begins in the aftermath of a brutal attack on a Detroit police precinct. Clues lead RoboCop to the OmniTower, where a paramilitary force has seized control and is stockpiling cutting-edge tech for unknown ends.

As RoboCop climbs the tower’s floors, he uncovers a dark conspiracy tied to OmniCorp’s shady dealings and his own haunted past. The narrative explores deeper questions about morality, identity, and corporate power, all wrapped in gritty neo-noir storytelling.

More focused than the base game, Unfinished Business delivers tighter pacing, intense action, and a more concentrated story—no filler, just raw RoboCop.

Upgrade Advice – What You’ll Need

If your system isn’t quite hitting the mark, here’s what you’ll need to upgrade to get the best experience from Unfinished Business. From faster frame rates to quicker load times, these parts will make all the difference—and yes, we’ve got everything you need.

Operating System (OS)

You’ll need at least Windows 10 (64-bit) to run the game. If you’re still on anything older—it's time for an upgrade. That said, we’d strongly recommend switching to Windows 11, especially since Windows 10 support ends this autumn.

The good news? If you're already on Windows 10, you can upgrade to Windows 11 for free (as long as your hardware supports it). If not, don’t worry—we stock both Windows 11 Home and Pro editions.

View our full range of Windows operating systems here.

Processor (CPU)

To hit recommended settings, you'll need at least an Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X—both solid chips, but also a bit dated now.

If you're below those specs, we suggest upgrading to something like the Intel Core i7-12700KF or the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X. These offer excellent performance for the price and are far more future-proof.

RAM

While the game will technically run on 8GB, the recommended amount is 16GB—and honestly, that’s the sweet spot for nearly every modern title these days. If your system’s still rocking 8GB (or worse), now’s the time to bump it up.

We’ve got loads of DDR4 and DDR5 memory kits to choose from, all at great prices.

Graphics Card (GPU)

To play the game comfortably at high settings, the official recommendation is a NVIDIA RTX 3080 or an AMD RX 6800 XT. That said… we’ve tested the minimum cards (GTX 1060 6GB and RX Vega 56) and let’s just say—they didn’t hold up well at all.

Since the 3080 and 6800 XT are no longer widely sold, we’d recommend looking at the newer generation: the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti or AMD RX 9070 XT. Both deliver equal (or better) performance, plus support for DLSS 4 and FSR 4—giving you sharper visuals and smoother gameplay through AI-powered frame generation.

Storage (SSD)

The game only takes up about 40GB, which is fairly modest by today’s standards. But if you're still running your system on a hard drive, we really do recommend upgrading to an SSD.

HDDs are just too slow for modern games and can make loading screens drag—and performance stutter in all the worst ways. The good news? SSDs are faster, quieter, and in many cases, now cheaper than HDDs.
