Smartwatches

A smartwatch is a touchscreen wearable computer. They have general functionality similar to smartphones, including mobile apps, a mobile operating system and Bluetooth connectivity. They usually have a small LCD/OLED touchscreen and recharageable battery, and many have other equipment such as pedometers, GPS and even storage.

Smartwatches are usually connected to your smartphone, either via iOS (Apple Watch only) or Android (most smartwatches). By doing this, they gain internet access, can display notifications, and can use specific apps.
