3D Printer Filament is a type of thermoplastic used in compatible 3D printers. There are lots of different filament types, with the most popular being PLA (Polylactic Acid) or PETG (Glycol Modified Polyethylene Terephthalate) - these different types often require different temperatures in order to print.
They're often available in different colours, with pigments or other additives added to create the desired colour.
They also come in two standard diameters of 1.75mm or 2.85mm.
Unlike power or liquid resin, filament is produced in one long thread that is often a few hundred metres long and is spooled for storage and feeding.
