Great price and fast SSD drive

Good price, easy to use

Fitted into my laptop without an issue. Windows 10 installed without any issues. Boot time was much improved after install was finished and the drive added a new level of snappiness to my old laptop. Money well spent! Easily the cheapest and most impressive improvement you can make to an old computer that had a disc drive fitted previously.

For a non tech point of view it just works and does what it's supposed to do. Using Linux Mint there can be installation issues with certain drives for those of use who only have one remaining grey cell. I haven't found any such issues, as yet, when installing ADATA drives onto my Linux desktop. Guarantee in the standard for most drives in this price range with the grey area of data usage. There could be issues with anyone who frequently secure deletes files that may cause extra wear on the drive due to multiple writing. As with anything today, quality can be hit and miss. I've had one ADATA that failed within months, but on returning the failed drive, a replacement was sent without any hassle. Although I'm not sure if that may be due to CCL's quality of service or the manufacturers. As someone who's not really a fan of these drives, who doesn't believe that for the average user who doesn't need the performance gained by them, they don't really compensate for the extra cost paid. I have to admit that there they are faster, and just as reliable as a standard HDD drive, and manufactures will soon be producing more SSD drives than HDD, so availability rather than price may shortly be the issue. In that case, on cost and reliability, then ADATA would seem to be a good option for a HDD replacement.

Used as an upgrade in an older computer to get it up to speed. Works 100% and makes a big difference from a standard HDD

great ssd drive, plugged it in and it worked like a charm. on the downside, getting the "migration software" was a hassle, create an account and register the drive with Adata, get a special key, then go to another companies site, create another account, enter your key from Adata, and get another key for the software ! I couldn't be bothered with all that faffing about. That aside, the drive is good, quick (IE: works to it's specifications) and appears to be reliable so far. Overall, I'm pleased with the Adata product, but feel a bit let down by the procedure to get the software (I didn't bother), I used 'dd' command in Linux instead to clone my old windows7 drive to the new ssd.

If you can, but a higher capacity one because they're better value, but it's great

The SSD sped up the laptop quite a lot and I'm happy with it. It's working well, but I haven't been able to test it in the long term. The drive arrived quickly.

It's an SSD. It does what it's supposed to. What more can you say?

Have used Adata ssd previously without problems, now look for them by preference especially if can find at good price which often can.

Used this to upgrade my existing old hard drive. After cloning the existing drive replacement is easy and has speeded up my system. It worked straight away once installed and have had no problems so far after 2 months

Seems to do the job, quick and no problems. But the best bit is the included cloning software which also has backup enabled.

Bought as a clone backup of a drive in a PC - exactly the same SSD make and model and now sits in a cupboard just in case, but the one in the PC has run without trouble for over a year now

Really good value for money, great app for showing drive health etc, decent transfer speeds, doesn't need to be the fastest to make a big difference over a normal hard disk drive! I'd have no problem recommending this brand!

Great little SSD used to upgrade my old Toshiba Satellite laptop. The SSD was well priced under 30, well packaged, and easy to install in place of my old HDD. After installation, I added Ubuntu as my OS, and was ready to go. The improvement is amazing in terms of boot speed. With the old HDD, my laptop would take minutes to boot, now I am ready to go in under 30 seconds from powering up the laptop on, and this time includes me typing my password. So, a more realistic time is about 20 seconds to boot with the new SSD.

For my build it was absolutely perfect

I ordered it at 11 at night and the site said it would come in a week but it in fact came 2 days later. The packaging used was padded which protected the device.

Works fine for a low end SSD and no problems so far. I am using it as my master drive now, but so impressed compared to my existing mechanical drives (HDDs) that I will be purchasing an Adata Ultimate SU800 512GB 2.5" SATA III SSD drive soon as I have a SATA 2 motherboard.(the drive I am reviewing is a SATA 1 drive so I can only get SATA1 speed to the motherboard). These drives are much faster than HDDs, and silent, so I simply can't fault them. This is my first dabble in SSD and I am extremely impressed. One tip I have learned regarding how long the drives last - the cells only degrade when you start deleting files, so if you try to limit deleting then the drives will last an extremely long time.
