Since its inception, Among Us has kept millions of players on their toes, turning friends into suspicious crewmates and chaotic impostors. With its simple-but-genius formula of teamwork, deception, and emergency meetings, it became a pop-culture staple.
But then came Among Us VR, flipping the game into first-person mode and adding a whole new level of paranoia. Now, the developers are venting into new territory once again with Among Us 3D — the same immersive experience, but available to everyone. That’s right: Among Us 3D is essentially Among Us VR... only now, you don’t need a VR headset to play.
So what's new, what’s different, and more importantly, can your PC handle the sus? Let’s dive in.
What Is Among Us 3D?
Among Us 3D is a rebranded, expanded version of Among Us VR. Designed to run on flat-screen PCs, it offers the same intense first-person gameplay, now accessible to anyone with a decent gaming machine.
Whether you’re completing tasks in Electrical or sneaking through vents as the impostor, Among Us 3D brings the VR-level immersion to standard setups.
Best of all? PC and VR players can play together in the same lobbies.

Top New Features
-
First-Person 3D Perspective
See the game through your crewmate’s eyes. It adds tension, immersion, and makes every hallway feel way more sus.
-
Cross-Device Compatibility
Among Us 3D is playable on PC and VR, and yes — the lobbies are shared. Whether you’re using a mouse or a motion controller, it’s the same game.
-
Proximity Voice Chat
Talk to crewmates near you in real time. Plan, panic, or plead your innocence (while someone gets stabbed just out of earshot).
-
New Game Modes
Try out "Tag Mode" where one infected crewmate has to chase down others. Think hide-and-seek... with betrayal.
-
Cosmetic Customisation
Use the new "Stardust" currency to kit out your crewmate with skins, hats, and other stylishly sus upgrades.

What This Means for You
Even without VR, Among Us 3D might just be asking a little more from your system. Maybe it's some behind-the-scenes polishing or new rendering tricks for flat screens. Whatever the reason, don’t panic in Electrical — this is still a lightweight game that should run smoothly on most entry- to mid-tier rigs.
So whether you’re a crewmate running tasks or an impostor waiting to strike, rest assured: you won’t need a spaceship of a PC to jump in.

What Kind of PC Do You Really Need?
Let’s be honest, crewmate — Among Us 3D isn’t about to eject your gaming rig into the void. It’s a lightweight title by today’s standards. But if your setup is looking a little...sus (aka below spec), don’t worry — we’ve got emergency support on standby at CCL.
Operating System
You’ll need at least Windows 10 (64-bit) to play — no big surprise there. But if you want to future-proof your system and avoid any late-game sabotage, we recommend Windows 11. With support for Windows 10 ending soon, now’s the time to upgrade before things get...electrical.
