I needed a new motherboard to pair with the latest Ryzen processors, and have found MSI's reliable in the past. Some features which swayed my buying decision are the ample USB ports on the rear I/O, including Type-C, the 6 system fan headers, integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, PCIe gen 4.0, and M-Flash to get the BIOS updated without another CPU. Part of the decision was aesthetics too, with the motherboard having a good amount of RGB lighting.
I'm happy with the overall quality of the board, it feels premium to me, despite being part of the B550 line-up as opposed to X570, and was easy to build with. The BIOS also feels user-friendly, with both "Easy" and "Advanced" modes.
This motherboard does everything I need it to do, and came at a fair price, with the Assassin's Creed Valhalla promotion sweetening the deal that little bit more.
