The biggest highlight of the Athlon 3000G is without any doubt its price. For $49 you get a capable CPU that can handle typical consumer tasks just fine — perfect for an entry-level system that doesn't break the bank. Right now Intel is having serious supply issues, which drives up their CPU prices, helping AMD's offerings, too. Looking at what the Athlon 3000G offers, it beats all comparable Intel offerings easily.

Amazing for a 35watt CPU with built in graphics. I run this with the Arctic Passive cooler (Fanless) and works like a charm. Been ill of late and unable to get to my gaming PC downstairs, but have been amazed at running Skyrim with the built in graphics and watching full HD movies on this thing!

This actually competes with my i5-3570K from 2012 to put into perspective far AMD have come! Beautiful for a personal media server, only 35TDP so virtually uses no power and stays cool even with that thing they include, Ill be replacing that with a wraith cooler when I order a 3900X in the near future! Very happy with the CPU! That being said this is only good for general use, or a specific purpose, dont be expecting to game well or create content on a 40-50 chip with integrated graphics and expect 60fps!

If you consider yourself to be an average PC user, then this is simply a great CPU to have. Pair it with a cheap MB and 8GB ram, and you have an upgrade more than capable of general PC tasks. I've tested it with Windows 10 and Linux, and find web surfing, open office tasks, and youtube to run very well. Stress testing, I got a peak full system power draw of 42 watts (not including monitor), so if energy efficiency is your thing, it covers that. The only thing I would say, is the supplied fan is a little whiny, so consider buying the AMD SPIRE fan, unfortunately CCL don't appear to sell them (GET A GRIP GUYS), but they are available from competitors for about 6-8 delivered. If you chose then option, you will find it is MUCH quieter. Have a word with CCL, they may have a cheap alternative, but DON'T pay more than 5 for it unless you seriously hate noise. Buy with confidence and enjoy this great little chip. Oh check you MB website first, make sure you have the CORRECT BIOS, not necessarily the latest one (most new ones don't support this chip) Mine is using a BIOS from over a year ago (5 revisions old). Enjoy
