Overview

Long-lasting data protection with M-DISC™ Support

The M-DISC™uses a patent rock-like recording surface instead of organic dye to etch your records for a lifetime. The M-DISC had been tested and proven to outlast a standard DVD-R. LG M-Ready Drive is the one and only drive for burning the M-DISC and offers the best archival storage solution.

The LG GS40N Ultra Slim internal DVD Writer features DVD and CD buring capabilities and M-DISC(DVD) support. M-DISC offers superior reliability in data storage that provides the permanent optical data storage solution. The GS40N gives you the option to choose the media best suited for each task.

Questions and Answers

Do you have you a question about the LG GS40N Slot-Load DVD+/-RW Rewritter Dual Layer Optical Drive Slim SATA?

Q: I recently purchased this slot-load optical drive and the Antec ISK 310-150 case from you. The drive fits into the case but I can't work out how to attach it, and there don't seem to be suitable screws shipped with the case or drive. Is there a separate mounting kit required to get this working, or can you give me any pointers on how to complete the installation.
Answer by Website User on 9th May 2018
Answering my own question, I found two tiny mounting screws in the bag of screws supplied with the case.

Q: Does the slimline sata need to be male or female. Male going INTO the disk drive?
Answer by Dan on 2nd December 2015
The male connector is on the optical drive. CAB0588 will be all you need if you're fitting this into a desktop system, laptops will already have the required cable. -Danlevan
