Fan LED Colour:

Overview

The CiT Raider is a Mid Tower professional gaming case with a 4mm tempered glass front panel and a full tempered glass left side panel, allowing you to see the RGB lighting from your included Spectrum fans. The Raider comes in a simple design that's easy to build in, using a popular internal structure. You can fit a total of eight fans but it comes with four 120mm Dual-Ring Halo Spectrum LED fans, three at the front and one at the back.

The Raider case comes with a PCB hub that can fit up to 10 devices; 8 fans and 2 LED strips. An RF controller is included. The RF controller allows you to control the fan lighting, cycling between 6 single colours (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Purple and Yellow), and comes with several different lighting modes so you never run out of ideas.

As well has being able to control the lighting, if you choose to have single colour lighting you can control the brightness through the speed buttons on the RF remote, but if you choose the Spectrum lighting effect you can control the fan speed through the speed buttons on the RF remote.

A 4-pin Molex connector and a 3-pin ASUS connector come with the RGB hub meaning you can control your LED light through your motherboard or other supported devices as well as the RF controller, giving you more control!

You can enhance your cooling further with room at the front for a radiator up to a 360mm, at the top a radiator up to 280mm and at the back a radiator up to 120mm. This gaming case has good compatibility, supporting ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX motherboards and ATX power supplies up to 240mm in length to give you unlimited options. On the top of the case for easy access is 1 x USB3.0, 2 x USB2.0 and HD audio allowing you to connect to a variety of devices.

Q: Got this case on order and I'm a bit confused how the 4xRGB fans are connect and powered from the motherboard, (especially concerned by the questions regarding the case's fan hub failing and discussions about a reset switch being needed). My Board is the Asus prime B450m-a2 with Aurasync, but it appears to only have 1x12v RGB header at the top for this task, so what is the best way to wire the 4 fans into this board? I presume its a choice of Aurasync or the remote control, but I'd like them on all the time the PC is switched on ideally and control them via software.
Answer by SIMON on 24th February 2021
I'll answer my own question in the hope of helping others on here. You just need to plug one sata power cable into the box and then your fans into it. If you want to you can connect the pc case reset switch to the bottom of the BOX too (to toggle the fan speeds). The only issue I had was RF interference switching the fan colours and turning the fan off occasionally. I narrowed this down to a faulty Belkin surge protection extension lead my pc was plugged into down the side of my desk. Once I'd removed the extension the fans didn't change any more or switch off. Hope this helps!

Q: how do you make the remote work, i got the case working but the remote doesnt seem to work, what other cables do i have to connect

If you are using this plugged into the motherboard RGB header then the remote is not usable. - Kristian N

Answer by Website User on 14th February 2021
To get the fans to work with the hub you just need to connect one sata power cable, you don't need to connect the other cable to the board. I also connected the case reset switch to the top 2 pin connector on "the box" to control the fan speeds, though it works fine on the fan button on the controller too.

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/rgb-fan-hub-problems.3428378/#lg=_xfUid-1-1568709529&slide=0 after much searching I found this - don't know why this is not in the box to help - I used the case reset button to alter spped / switch on.

Answer by Website User on 14th February 2021
The fans can switch off if you have a drive connected to the same sata power cable when the pc goes into sleep mode.

Post Answer
Q: are the fans meant to switch off after a few hours? I returned one rgb controller after my system overheated because the fans stopped - the replacement unit does the same, I found out that there's a reset switch needed across the 2 pins on the rgb controller wich restarts the fans(1 press for low speed press again for fast) - and as a precaution I fitted an additional case fan as a backup.
Answer by Matthew on 7th October 2019
I should think they are supposed to stay running at all times, unless there is a timer control of some sort included.

Answer by SIMON on 24th February 2021
This is caused by RF interference. I solved this by ditching a Belkin surge protector that my pc was plugged into down the side of my desk. Hope this helps for others with this issue as my fans haven't changed colour or switched off once since losing the extension lead!

Q: Will I need to remove the top 2 front fans as I need to front mount the radiator, or can I use a pull push with the rgb fans and cooler fans
Answer by Website User on 21st November 2018
Can you remove the front fans and you would not be able to setup a push pull config as there would not be enough space on the front mesh.

Very good quality for the money, but the solid side (not the glass) bows with minimal pressure - not good for attempting to manage thicker cables.

Great looking case at a great price.

I know its not a top end case but its junk realy. No instructions, not that i needed any but someone new at the game would be lost. Fan controller was the pits. Not your normal fan connectors, these are horrible 5 pin things. You have to really really force them home. Ill never get them out without damage. The controller is magnetic. What a laugh The GPU fixing screw is external. Never seen anything like it lol> The thread is also terrible. I just forced a screw in and called it done. In general is a cheap case. Saying that, IT DOES THE JOB and looks quite good now done

November 2020

For the price and Qaulity one of the best cases I have used

Aaron

November 2020

Its a nice case with a nice glass panel and pretty easy to set up however a few issues. 1. There is no instruction manual supplied and so setting up the RGB fans is guess work. 2. The fans don't seem to be amazing quality but time will see. finally 3. the motherboard standoff screws are not easy to install yourself as you have to put 3 in. But overall a solid nice case with some nice cable tidying possibilities.
