The only difference I can see is the dynamic contrast ratio, which is not a fixed measurement. I don't believe there are any significant differences between the two. -Danlevan

Q: Hi, I have a VGA to HDMI and I have a HDMI port in my PC, would it be the same quality if I plug the HDMI into the PC then the VGA into the monitor instead of VGA to VGA? Also does it come with a VGA cable? Jake.

You would get the same quality from an adaptor as you would using a normal VGA to VGA connection. Regarding contents, this monitor does indeed come with a VGA cable. -MR

DVI and HDMI will provide the same picture quality, HDMI is a DVI signal with added audio

Q: I connected my PS3 through a hdmi to dvi converter and it worked....but there is a little problem....i get green static (tiny green pixels in thousands) can you tell me why is that??

The video signal will be fine through the converter but this model does not have speakers meaning you wouldn't have any sound unless you were using an alternative speaker set. -Danlevan

This monitor does not have speakers or a microphone. Most webcams have a built in microphone, but you would also need speakers. Alternatively, there are some monitors that have a built in webcam, along with speakers and microphone, such as the Asus VK248H which you can find on our code MON0985. -Danlevan

The bezel measures 1.5cm, so you would be looking 3cm side by side, this seems a pretty standard bezel width for most monitors. These monitors would have no problem running in Eyefinity or Nvidia surround mode.

Q: hi, what kind of bracket does the screen have? i want to put one above the other on a pole that sits on a desk (not bolted on but free standing). i am buying a new pc and asked if it will run 4 screens. he said, "it has an ATI HD5450 graphics card, which will give you 3 simultaneous outputs (DVI/VGA/HDMI) and then use the standard onboard graphics to power the last monitor (either VGA or HDMI). will these screens work with this?

These monitors do not have a VESA mount which would be required to mount the monitor above the others, unfortunately a single 5450 cannot power 3 screens simultaneously however two 5450's in a compatible board will allow you to run 2 monitors on each card

Q: Hi, you specify in the item description that this product is a 'FULL HD LED Monitor', however in the products physical specification you state the monitor is of 'Display Type LCD Display '. This screen is a full HD screen, which means it displays in 1080p resolution. It is an LED backlit screen, meaning that the screen panel itself is an LCD but that it is lit by LED light. -Danlevan

Hi There, This screen isn't actually wall mountable. as they do not have a VESA mount. If you use the filtering option on our site (on the left hand side) you can filter for 'wall mountable' screens Hope this helps Daniel

Q: Your spec says no, but other specs I have seen for same Acer model code some say yes (100mm VESA) others say no! Can;t find this exact model number on Acer's own site to check. Does it have a VESA mount option, or must it be used with supplied stand?

Good Morning and thank you for your email. In regards to your query the item in question is LED. Please do bear in mind that LED monitors still use LCD front panels. A monitor is split into three sections, the rear section describes the lighting method used which will be either LED or standard lighting panel based, the mid section is usually the panel itself which comes in three varieties which are TN, VA or IPS, and then the last part is the front panel which is almost always LCD. So you can have a LED monitor but it will still use a LCD front panel.

Q: I've got a Sapphire Radeon HBD5450 Graphics card and a Plextor Blu-Ray burner arriving soon as a somewhat belated Xmas present. Although I'm more interested in using Blu-Ray for back-up purposes, it seems a shame not to be able to play Blu-Ray movies as my graphics card is capable of this according to the blurb on the box (and your website - I bought it from CCL). Trouble is my existing monitor is not HDCP compliant. I gather this is a must to play commercially produced Blu-Ray movies. The overview for this Acer product says. "Digital In 1 x DVI (with HDCP)". Does this mean it will be ok for playing Blu-Ray movies? I'd like to be absolutely sure before spending money.

For only £86.98 this monitor is amazing! Although, please take note that this is not an LED display as stated on the website, it is actually standard LCD... Just read the specification sticker on the back of the screen when you buy one.

LCD is the panel type and LED / CCFL would be the backlight. You can have a LED LCD. :)

I ordered one of these from CCL via eBay and have to say when it arrived I couldn't believe just how slim and lightweight it was, very easy to set up and the resolution is great and the picture quality is pretty good, I still need to fine tune the user settings, as the default whereas it's ok, it's not the best, but sure I'll sort that (only unboxed about 30 minutes ago). As others have said, the lack of height adjustment may prove a problem to some, especially where it's default height is quite low, however this is not a problem for me as I have a raised platform on my desk so the height is fine, otherwise, some may want something to stand it on, but all in all, for a little over £80 I'm very happy with the purchase and the delivery time from CCL was amazing!
