Buying this monitor is a marvelous treat if you are swapping from an old 60Hz, even a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor. You will notice a change in the fluidity of animations in Windows or any other OS which has support for animations, when browsing the web (scrolling is very satisfying) and in gaming. This monitor in particular is great for competitive gamers, games such as CS:GO, Valorant, League of Legends, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and even Fortnite (if that is your cup of tea.. big yikers), where every little bit of information can change the outcome. Whilst this monitor doesn't automatically make you better than you were, it definitely allows for performance and reaction time improvements. If you are more of a casual gamer, who doesn't regularly play competitive games, I would recommend buying a 1440p 120-144Hz monitor Instead for better visual quality. One warning is that once you go all the way up to 280Hz, it is very difficult to adjust back to anything below... feels less superior.
When handling the monitor, please note that the nipple controller on the right back side is very fragile and could pop out if mishandled and not properly cared for. Unfortunately I was not careful myself and therefore the nipple controller disconnected from the PCB and was loose, making it impossible to use the OSD monitor options, which is a crucial part of the monitor to have the freedom of experimenting with different settings for different games and content consumption. I have electronics background and with a bit of logic and DIY tools and skills, anyone would be able to fix this issue, though a soldering iron, solder, and multiple sized plastic spacers/separates and a lot of patience and care to take out the panel from the case housing was required.
When sitting closer to the monitor, the pixel density on this 27 inch display is noticeable and you are able to count the pixels one by one, however after some time this isn't an issue as it begins to blend in unless you are purposefully looking for the gaps in between each pixel. At normal usage distances, the pixel density is not noticeable.
The stand of the monitor is very solid, allowing for 3D movement of the monitor to your own preference and liking. I already had a monitor stand that was attached to my desk for 2 monitors, therefore I transferred this monitor onto it instead for a cleaner look on my desk as it didn't take up as much space in comparison.
All in all, recommended.
