Q: Hello, I want to plug this in to a wired ethernet socket to create a wi-fi signal for a tablet pc at a location where no no wireless currently exists. Will this item meet my needs?

As long as the ethernet socket is connected to a network on the other end then that will work. - Kristian N

Q: hi, my current internet wireless reaches to nearly the top of my garden 50m would i be able to plug this into a shed socket within that 50m to get a better signal if i wanted to use a laptop etc in the garden? thanks

23 or so 2021/01. Still working fine after a few weeks. Very light weight. Wall screw holes, so can be hung on the wall. Not the fastest POP but faster than my internet link, so . . . good price/performance. I have the power turned right down but still OK in the flat. 9V "wall-wart" plus PoE injector for it if the power lead is too short. Don't know if it works with ordinary 50VPoE. Easy to set up. Only problem I see is that the "no remote IP config" still configs from other subnet segments on the LAN port, so I have to protect the port by filtering. Else very good . . .
