Q: would this be able to power the ASRock 990FX Extreme9 AMD Socket AM3+ Motherboard with a AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ Octo Core cpu
Answer by Dan on 4th August 2014
It would not be recommended to pair the top end AMD CPU and an extreme motherboard with a super budget PSU, we would recommend the minimum of a Corsair CX600M for this CPU. - TL

cheap rubbish. lasted 5 weeks. This was a replacement for an Ace 700w psu, which only lasted 8 weeks. CCL have been good, just don't buy this.

Fixed a dead pc and still running fine

Good condition

August 2020

I bought the same supply approx 12 months ago from elsewhere and that's as long as it lasted. I am hoping this one lasts longer than that. It runs a little warmer than I would like but that could be due to my case not vented sufficiently.

August 2020

Iv built many high end gaming pcs and never had a problem with this psu in any of them :-)

August 2020

Stinks of burning plastic and regularly shuts down machine. Cheap imported Chinese rubbish that isn't fit for purpose. Spend more money on something decent. Items like this shouldn't be available for sale.
