Combining cooling performance and affordability, the Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh Midi-Tower is a perfect mix of features and functionality. With no less than 4 ARGB LED 120mm fans included as standard, controlled with a supplied remote which allows a variety of modes, lighting options and even speed control, the Observatory Lite Mesh also has a fully mesh front panel for superior airflow capabilities. The hardware you choose to install is also key; the tempered glass side panel allows you to create a showstopping system build. All in all the Observatory Lite Mesh is an extremely feature filled chassis with plenty to offer.

Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh: Airflow where it matters

The digitally addressable RGB-LED fans, 4 of which are preinstalled, are controlled by the supplied remote & RGB hub. Alternatively, the fans can be hooked up and controlled using a compatible motherboard thanks to its use of a standard 3-pin (5VDG) connector. The tempered glass side panel allows users to enjoy a panoramic view of the lighting used inside the Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh.

Aside from the pre-installed fans, users are also free to install two more 120mm fans in the roof. This is where a magnetic dust filter can be found installed on the honeycomb-style mesh. The full mesh front panel and air inlets in the PSU shroud also contribute to the excellent airflow of the case. Users are also free to install a 280 mm radiator in the front.

The Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh: Hardware focused

The interior comes entirely in black, with a PSU shroud that only adds to the sleek and unobtrusive look. Behind the shroud is where users will find space for a pair of 3.5" HDD's in the HDD cage provided, which also has anti-vibration mountings. Alternatively, 2.5" SSD's can be installed here, or next to the motherboard. The motherboard tray and PSU shroud both offer numerous openings for optimum cable management, with up to 30mm cable management space. Underneath the case is a removable dust filter appropriate to an ATX-form factor PSU, which can itself be up to 18 cm in length.

Graphics cards can be up to 33.5cm long (31cm if mounting an AIO) and CPU coolers up to 16 cm tall. Additionally, the I/O panel located at the front possesses two USB 2.0 ports as well as an USB 3.0 Type-A port.

Do you have you a question about the Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh Mid Tower ATX Gaming Case in Black with Tempered Glass, 4x ARGB Fans?

Q: is the included fan hub just for the rgb on the fans, if so what connectors do the fans use, 3 pin, sata, molex???
Answer by Website User on 21st February 2021
The fans use a proprietary Kolink connector. They plug into the fan controller and the fan controller is powered by a SATA power connector. It operates standalone but apparently you can connect the fan controller to a Gigabyte motherboard, but I have no information on how that works.

Case has adequate room for cable management in the rear and comes supplied with 4 RGB fans. Be aware that the fans must be powered via the supplied rgb controller as they utilize a non standard fitting and are unable to be connected to the fan controllers on your motherboard. Fan speed is controlled via the supplied remote control and has 3 speeds. I keep mine on the highest setting and unlike other people I've seen talking about the case I find the fan volume to be very bearable. The front mesh provides very good airflow to the case and there is a PSU shroud which you can mount your SSD on top of. The side panel is tempered glass which doesn't have too much of a tint so the inside of the case is very visible. There are a lot of RGB options on the provided fans or you can just turn them off if that isn't your thing. At 50 I can highly recommend this case however I must say that although the top of the case has a magnetic mesh for exhausting via an aio cooler, the actual holes in the top of the case could be larger. This is definitely something worth considering if you are going to be running a high watt setup.

After a few days of looking I couldnt find a cheaper case that has a mesh front with included RGB fans. The case looks amazing, though there isn't much room for cable management, but there's enough. Will be recommending this for a build for one of my friends.
