This is a great product for speeding up an older PC or laptop, as long as 500Gb is big enough for you it is a lot faster than a conventional hard disk and has no moving parts so not a problem if you drop your laptop whilst it is running. The big difference is in starting up and loading software especially office. If you have an old laptop, this and Ubuntu can make it like a new machine. The old bricks are really easy to change the hard disk, if you have a slimline, you may need to go on utube and look for strip down or disassembly of your model as it might mean prising the keyboard out. I have done a few of these and as long as you are gentle, you shouldn't have a problem (watch out for connectors with clamp down fittings. Anyway new life for an old machine go green. If it doesn't work, you just need a case and you have a great usb backup device. Go on have a go. What's the worst that could go wrong.

Works as expected, easy enough to plug in.
