A competently put together motherboard.
The Z390 boards suffer from a lack of SATA connections and this is no exception, with a total of six ports, one or two of which will be disabled if you choose to use one or both of the M.2 slots.
MSI BIOS layout is less intuitive than some from other manufacturers.
This board is a replacement for an ASUS Strix Z370 board that was physically damaged, I reused the i7 8700K from that board.
There is no appreciable performance difference in ordinary use, the CPU overclocks to the same level and temperatures are similar.
The computer 'feels' slightly less responsive, but I now am using the Western Digital Green 240GB M.2-2280 SATA III SSD which came free with the board as a boot drive instead of the Samsung 850 250GB SSD that I was using with the ASUS board, so I am inclined to think the sense of things being slightly more sluggish is probably attributable to that, rather than the board.
All in all, this board seems like good value for money and does the job I require it to do.
CCL are a very good company to deal with and, as usual, their service was superb.
