Q: I have seen some cables are sata 2 and some are sata 3, please can you tell me what these ones would be? thanks
Answer by Matthew on 23rd May 2014
The cable makes no difference - a brand new "SATA III" cable is no different than one made six years ago when SATA III wasn't even around. Some manufacturer's simply like to state SATA III on their SATA cables in an attempt to create a difference. Any SATA cable will work with any SATA device on SATA I, II or III. -MR
