Q: What is the maximum heat dissipation of this cooler? could it handle a heavily overclocked i5 8600k

According to the official Cooler Master website: http://www.coolermaster.com/tdp-and-socket-compatibility/ It supports TDP up to 180 watts - i.e. pretty much all CPUs on the market today, but not sure about overclocking. But if you're overclocking a CPU with a TDP of 65w, then obviously this cooler should offer enough headroom to cool it. But in the case of i5-8600k which is a 95w TDP, not sure how much power/heat would increase with overclocking. By the way, I've also heard that TDP and heat generated are not directly proportional, and TDP is a general guide only - but not sure how true that is? As a side point, interestingly, the official site mentions the fan has a MTTF of 160,000 hours (18.3 years), while the pump only has an MTTF of 70,000 hours (8 years)?!

for such a low priced cooler , I was very impressed with performance . I use it on my test bench even coped well with an i7 7700k @5.0GHz
