Alpha 5i Home PC

I bought this computer for my father who needed a new machine. I used the custom service so that CCL would build it to my specification (more RAM, extra hard disk, no windows OS). It arrived on time and well packaged with details of the soak tests that had been run. I installed my own OS (Ubuntu) which went without issue. Only problem was the optical drive, which Ubuntu failed to recognise but this turned out to be a loose power connector and was easily fixed.

Bought as an upgrade to be eligible for Windows 11. I was able to add the SSD, HDDs, DVD writer, video and sound cards from my old device and upgrade to Windows 11. The initial hiccups were sorted out with the help of the knowledgeable and very helpful sales staff. This is another excellent computer from CCL, who I have used for nearly 20 years. Top marks CCL!

Came with loose screw rattling inside and no product key for Windows 11. Flimsy, almost hidden switches on front panel edges and no get started instructions.

Really pleased with our new PC, brilliant value for money when compared to other 'big name' PC companies. Customer service and support was also first class - a real human being actually answered the phone and knew exactly what advice to give. They even followed up later to check all was ok. The only thing we don't really like are the bright blue and the red flashing LED lights on the front of the PC - we have to have it on the desktop next to our screen and can be quite distracting, but no big deal really.

Always get computer stuff from CCL. First class products at very reasonable prices. No messing. Delivered on time. Best value on-site warranty. Would not consider going anywhere else.

Ok, the product itself is good, fast speed and good quality. Delivery was ahead of delivery date. The problem is the one which is an issue with lots of companies, if the product arrives and there is no problems then a 5 star rating is usually given. It's when you have queries and problems that you find out the quality of a company and how much they appreciate your custom. I had 3 issues with mine, 2 of which did not turn out to be actual faults whilst the third issue was. To cut a long story short, I dealt with 3 different people in customer services over a period of a month. Their "High Priority" email response took up to 7 working days to respond to and then queries within the emails were not addressed. Definitely got the impression they were busy and I was inconvenient to them. They did offer a refund but as I had spent weeks setting it up this was not a not an option. So in review, great product at a good price. Their customer service is the part that let them down in my case.

A brilliant PC, providing excellent performance and value for money: the best I've ever had.

Excellent service, both in ordering and delivery. Inclusion of extended warranty was pleasant surprise. To early to tell how it will perform but time will tell. As I use CAD and design software a lot I was slightly surprised to find on loading Sketchup and Blender they refused to run. Contacted CCL support but they were unable to suggest a solution. Suspect addition of a dedicated graphics card will resolve issue but would have thought this should not be necessary as I use a much older MSI mainboard without.

Powerful enough pc at a reasonable price. Not so much a fan of the led config but that's purely cosmetic

I am happy with the design which was easy was it to set up and use. The performance is stunning and has been updated with 2x 1TB internal drives. The build quality is excellent with plenty of spare power and data cables. The noise level is reasonable, except that the CPU fan hums which is somewhat distracting. Very pleased over-all.
