Been using the Crucial BX and MX SSD range of drives to upgrade family's old laptops and PC's, the difference in performance gives a new lease life to the machines. Old Pentium and Core 2 Duo machines are just as quick as newer machines..! I always start with installing the operating systems from scratch avoiding all the bloatware which probably helps as well..!!

Excellent ssd for reviving old core 2 duo laptop. Third Crucial product. Easy to fit and install windows or Linux. I would recommend this product.

Lacks dram cache and is really badly made and as an os drive it stutters and feels slower than a 5400rpm hdd definetely wouldn't purchase another.

An excellent SSD at current (2019) prices, performance is exactly midrange for current-gen SSDs (equivalent to Sandisk Plus, superior to Kingston A400, etc.) but the price is about as low as they get, very competitive. No failures so far out of several dozen used. Currently the best value general-use SSD on the market.

I purchased the Crucial BX500 as a recommendation, by one of the staff. The SSD has been brilliant for what I required. Fast write speed, compact and slim.

This SSD is one of the best Solid State Hard Drives I have bought and is very good value. I can't recommend them enough. I have one in my Laptop and one in my Desktop Computers as a backup drive. I have a crucial 1Gb SSD as my main Desktop Hard Drive.
