The smart phone and super phone markets are booming and there isn't much indication that people are getting bored of smartphones yet either, far from it. In my mind Sony have been out of the game for top end phones for a few years now, they just haven't had an offering that has tempted me away from the offerings of Apple, Samsung and HTC, but all that could be about to change.

The new Sony Yuga C660 is set to feature a 5 inch High Defenition display, quad-core CPU and sony are set to tackle the smart and super phone market once again with a new product that will directly compete against the iPhone and Galaxy S, as well as any other smart phones of course.

Word is that the team at website "Mobile-Review" got their hands on an early model of this device and were able to benchmark its performance, where it is said to have hammered not only today's latest and greatest smartphones that are powered by Tegra 3, but even beating the more powerful tablet devices.
