Intel is set to take the world of microprocessors by storm once again with the launch of its next generation Haswell architecture in Q2 2013. VR Zone have managed to get their hands on plenty of goods and have been kind enough to share their knowledge with the rest of the internet.
The new chips come as a dual core and quad core configuration, with TDP of 35W to 84W. Which bodes well for their efficiency and hopefully their overall operating temperatures. The king of the Haswell camp however is the all new i7 4770K and marks the 4th generation of the Core architecture, which has been going from strength to strength since its inception.
Running at 3.5GHz with a 3.9GHz Turbo the i7 4770K has 8MB of cache, 4 cores with 8 threads. DDR3 1600 support (officially at least) and lets not forget that the "K" signifies unlocked multipliers for some serious overclocking (we hope). Add to the mix HD 4600 integrated graphcis with a base clock of 1250MHz, dual channel memory controller and better efficiency than the 22nm chips.
