OCZ's latest Vector Series SSD is here at last, yet instead of the now common Sandforce controller, the new SSD is based on the Barefoot 3 controller from Indilinx.

2.5" standard size
7mm ultra slim form factor
Indilinx Barefoot 3 controller

95k IOPS in random 4k read
100k IOPS in random 4k write
On top of that the 128GB edition will sport 550MB/s read 400MB/s write, yet the 256GB and 512GB will feature a much more impressive 550MB/s read and 530MB/s write @ 100k/95k IOPS random write and read performance.
OCZ are so pleased with their latest drives to call them "groundbreaking" in terms of performance, reliability efficiency and endurance although looking at the figures above I think they might be right, lets just hope these figures hold up in real world benchmarks.
There is no official price at the moment it's expected to be around £120, £240 and £400 for each drive. So lets be honest, who is excited about this new drive? or are you all going to wait for those ever so important benchmark results first?
